Congratulations to Tamara Hedges. At the most recent DENO Board meeting there was a "changing of the guard." Les Wheeler stepped down as the Chairperson, since he and Bob Crebo will be leaving Deepwell soon to move into their condo in Palm Springs. Tamara was appointed to fill the vacancy, and then voted by the Board to fill the Chair position. Tamara has been a DENO Board member previously, serving from 2007 to 2016. We are delighted that she has decided to return to the Board.
Brave New Worlds:
Explorations in Space
Motivated by the legacies of Southern California as a place of artistic experimentation, a site for self-fulfillment, and a geographic zone of light and natural resources, these artists use their distinctive spatial languages to construct worlds that both challenge convention and ignite our senses. Projects include those by Kelly Akashi, Gisela Colon, Victoria Fu, Karen Lofgren, and Adee Roberson, with works that represent each artist’s understanding of our bodily connection to the world that surrounds us.
The Certified Farmers' Markets are sponsored by the Palm Springs Cultural Center. The markets operate in three locations; Palm Springs, Old Town La Quinta and Palm Desert. Palm Springs hosts every Saturday from 8AM to 12:30PM. From October to May, the market is located adjacent to the Camelot Theatres in the Palm Springs Mall parking lot, 2300 East Baristo Road. From June to September the market is held inside at the Palm Springs Pavilion, 401 S Pavilion Way.
